Karamea Highway update: Karamea Highway REMAINS CLOSED

The Karamea Highway will remain closed until further notice due to unstable slips and damage caused at several sites by the recent heavy rain 🌧

The closure will be reviewed at 3pm on Saturday 12 February 2022. Council is urging people to stay off the road, and await further information on its status at 3pm today.

Road closure signs are established, and all road users are asked to follow directions of Council’s contractors staff on site 👷
