Key responsibilities:
- Conduct field-based compliance and monitoring checks across various operational areas.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on safe work practices, procedures, and operations.
- Support management and teams to achieve best practices and high performance in health and safety.
- Manage safety systems, including data entry, PPE management, and reporting.
- Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement safe work methods and controls.
- Oversee and guide risk assessments and work permits for high-risk activities.
- Monitor and report on health & safety progress, providing resourceful solutions to enhance performance.
- Coach and mentor internal stakeholders, including senior managers and functional line managers, to further instil a culture of safety excellence.
What you'll need:
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in conducting compliance checks and providing expert safety advice.
- Excellent operational skills and the ability to influence and guide others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to balance competing demands and prioritise strategic needs.
- Flexibility to respond to changes in work and shifts in focus as required.
